Discover a Return-to-Work program that saves you money while giving injured workers outstanding opportunities to find suitable employment.
To those who say Return-to-Work programs don’t work, we say they’re right … about many Return-to-Work programs. But one aggressive firm, Workfinders USA, has been found by carriers and employers to be a cost-effective resource – one that gives claimants exceptional opportunities to embark on a new career with potential for growth while allowing true loss mitigation for carriers and insureds.
Before Workfinders USA, clients often struggle with hundreds of cases involving indemnity benefits that could last up to nearly 10 years.
Many work comp claim managers/supervisors juggle a seemingly endless quantity of cases that number in the hundreds. In high-exposure jurisdictions, benefits for these claims could last up to 500 weeks – at 66% of average weekly wages (AWW). A percentage of these cases inevitably result in arguments for permanent-total disability (PTD) and lifetime benefits. Fortunately, you have an aggressive time- and money-saving defense tool that maximizes the odds of a successful return to work for claimants.

A comprehensive, winning, aggressive approach.
On each case, a Workfinders USA vocational rehab counselor aims to meet with the injured worker (and attorney if applicable) in person. The process begins with our Return-to-Work Assessment. We then research and contact employers one-by-one, sourcing viable permanent jobs. By contacting employers directly, we are then able to schedule face-to-face interviews for your workers, giving them great opportunity for success. We then follow-up post-interview to ascertain results, exposing noncompliance if present. Positive interview? We advocate further for your worker, doing everything we can to get the employer to extend a job offer. Negative/Sabotaged? We know what questions to ask to extract the necessary information.
Workfinders USA provides full documentation and provides constant updates. You get one point of contact for each case. Now we’ll detail one of our key differences:
Cold calls to prospective employers - our "Secret Sauce."
Unlike Return-to-Work firms that leave it up to injured workers to find and apply for jobs, Workfinders USA contacts prospective employers directly to advocate on their behalf. By reaching out, we ensure that all jobs are open, viable, and suitable. In some cases, we make 100+ calls to find a job that meets our criteria! By doing this extra work (and it's a lot of work!), we are able to prove viable job markets exist while simultaneously revealing true return-to-work motivation and compliance. Competitors? They mainly utilize online job boards to find jobs, with no attempt to verify with employers that the jobs are open and suitable within the worker's restrictions. There is little worse from a defense standpoint than sending an injured worker to a job that is not open/suitable. Passive/Lazy RTW only promotes PTD.
The difference between a passive and aggressive RTW approach.
Let’s say the claimant is an injured delivery driver who can only lift 10 lbs. and is therefore capable of performing in a sedentary, sit-down position. A passive RTW vendor may supply “leads” for a front desk job at a hotel, a phone-based position with a retailer, and a receptionist role at a tire center – jobs he’s highly unlikely to land due to lack of transferable skills. The passive vendor urges the injured worker to apply and says, “Let us know what happens.” Thus, the passive firm is essentially hoping for a miracle, asking the worker to do all the work. More needs to be done than simply providing job leads if a favorable result is to be expected.
Under Workfinders USA’s proven approach, we contact employers directly, use our intimate knowledge to advocate for the worker, and set up face-to-face job interviews (instead of merely supplying “leads”). The difference between supplying leads vs. interviews is enormous and it is one of the BIG differences between our program and competitors'.
